Diplomat stands for a high “price-to-value ratio,” says managing director Rolf Bonsack of the brand’s products. But the company has also stood for many other things during its 86 years of existence, among them, good design, an excellent reputation, and German-made quality. And these days, it is capitalizing on that stellar past, while looking towards the future, replete with a new logo, contemporary-styled products and a fresh outlook. Re-launched in January, according the Bonsack, who has been with the company four years, Diplomat is simply giving its worldwide audience what it wants. “The market has encouraged us to do this,” he says of the re-launch, adding that its worldwide distribution network has given a “very clear commitment” that it’s unequivocally on board.
